‘It Rains Slowly’ to vie at Religion Today Festival

TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Iranian short film ‘It Rains Slowly’ directed by Saeed Nejati will be screened at the 21st annual Religion Today Festival in Trento, Italy.

‘It Rains Slowly’ is set in Turkey just before the coup d’état 1980, narrating the story of a teacher who teaches his students about freedom and how to resist injustice.

The short film has participated in a number of different international film events, including the 30th Exground Film Festival in Germany, the 11th International Children’s Film Festival in Bangladesh, Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival (NHRIFF), Seoul International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival (SESIFF) and the 35th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

Since 1997 Religion Today has been the foremost international and itinerant film festival dedicated to Cinema and Religions for a culture of peace and dialogue between faiths, cultures, peoples and individuals.
